Getting WordPress Network Wide Events (Events Calendar Pro)

by Jason on July 20, 2010

I’ve been playing around with WordPress and one of the most disappointing things is the lack of a decent event system.

Events Calendar Pro looks promising but will need to step up the support in the future. I have been messing around with Events Calendar Pro in a WordPress 3 network installation. The plugin works great for each site, but their is no function to pull events from all sites.

I started hacking and got the following put together and working. If you have any recommendations on how to clean it up, let me know and I’ll update the post.

hello, i’m very interested in using this functionality. does this actually work, or what? I tried with the ‘non-pro’ version and I suppose unsurprisingly it didn’t work. So I assume it has to the pro version and that it should be network activated.

But where should he code go? How is it supposed to be setup? Etc.

Hey Jamil,

I used this on the pro version. To get it to work, just paste it in any custom template you want it to appear. It should echo out the title, start date and the content. If that’s not helpful enough, let me know and I can help out further. My skype is jwinn57 and email is jason @ northpen.com
